BILLY BOB BLASTS POLITICAL STARS
OSCAR winner BILLY BOB THORNTON’s got a major gripe with actors using awards shows as a pulpit to spout political beliefs. The 70-year-old says award winners should keep their yaps shut about their causes and “just honor the people” who helped them win the award.
The Bad Santa star notes: “There is a time and place for that... you should just stick to what [the honor] is. Don’t go up there and talk about saving the badgers in Wisconsin or something you know what I’m saying?”
Billy Bob adds that some “people would argue and say, ‘Well, no, because I have a voice and because everybody knows me. This is a great platform for me to put this out there.’” But he suggests if a blowhard star is really sincere about wanting to save critters and has “a billion dollars ... [then] f**king save them. I mean, you got plenty of money to save the badgers, trust me, that’s barely gonna cut into your budget.”
Speaking of big bucks, Billy Bob’s currently starring as a “fixer” for an oil company in the Paramount+ series Landman – and there are no badgers involved.
SITCOM STAR SLAPPED WITH SEX CHARGE
Trailer Park Boys goofball MIKE SMITH, who plays Bubbles on the Canadian sitcom premiering on Netflix next year, has been charged with sexual assault. The allegation stems from a 2017 incident and the 53-year-old comic is reportedly now “stepping away” from his managing director gig on the show about the misadventures of three screwballs in a trailer park.
According to sources, Smith, who has been ordered to stay away from the victim’s home, work and school, was previously smacked with a misdemeanor battery charge in 2016 over a violent argument between him and a gal in the pool bathroom of an L.A. hotel. His attorney Stan MacDonald told reporters, “This is an allegation at this point. It’ll be tried in court, it won’t be tried in the media.
RENNER RAILS 'I'M THE VICTIM!'
Do ya think JEREMY RENNER is sexy? According to the 54-year-old Mayor of Kingstown hunk, Chinese filmmaker YI ZHOU, 38, won’t stop pestering him since they had a onetime “consensual” thing while making the doc Chronicles of Disney. The Hawkeye archer says that afterward, she kept pawing him during a drive to the airport, cooed about his “fake giant thing” and pelted him with “hundreds” of dirty texts.
He claims one stated: “I want him inside of me so badly... f**k me, babe,” and his lawyer sent her a cease and desist letter. Meanwhile, Zhou claims the actor is a horndog who sent her “a string of unwanted/unsolicited pornographic images of himself.” She claims they had a romantic relationship, but it soured and he threatened to have ICE deport her.
KIM BOMBS ON BAR EXAM
KIM KARDASHIAN may be a genius when it comes to promoting herself and her products, but the would-be legal eagle just had her feather ruffled when she learned she’d flunked California’s bar exam.
The big-bootied fashionista claims she burned the midnight oil for six years studying to be an attorney and insists her latest setback has only fueled her ambition to be a real-life Matlock. “Falling short isn’t failure - it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more,” she vows. Before anyone laughs, remember – lawyering runs in her blood. Her late dad, ROBERT KARDASHIAN, was one of O.J. Former ESPN reporter MICHELLE BEADLE has re-torched her feud with high-paid blowhard STEPHEN A.
