Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reported less than $82,000 in listed assets and up to $50,000 in student loan debt in a newly amended financial disclosure.
The New York congresswoman listed savings, checking, brokerage and retirement accounts worth a combined $17,004 to $81,000. Her student loans, meanwhile, total somewhere between $15,001 and $50,000, with some dating back nearly two decades.
The filing also shows no outside earned income, gifts, or financial transactions.
Turns out even a seat in Congress can’t make those student loans disappear.

The jailed mogul is accusing former collaborator Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones of stealing private footage meant for his own documentary and selling it to 50 Cent and Netflix for Sean Combs: The Reckoning.
Court documents claim Jones copied computer drives while working for Diddy and “betrayed” his trust.
Diddy says he discovered the alleged swipe when the footage appeared in the Netflix doc in December 2025.
He’s now seeking damages while denying Jones’ allegations against him.
Chinese Intelligence Official Buys $8.4M Property Near White House
A White House neighbor just set off some serious alarm bells.
Philip Qiu, a senior Chinese Communist Party figure with reported ties to Chinese intelligence and security agencies, has purchased an $8.4 million historic building just 650 feet from White House grounds.
Security experts are sounding the alarm over its location, with former CIA officer Bryan Dean Wright warning it could potentially be used as “a listening post” or for other intelligence operations.
China expert Gordon Chang was equally blunt: “No Chinese citizen should be permitted to own, lease, or occupy any real estate that gives him or her the ability to surveil any sensitive federal installation.”
There’s no evidence Qiu plans to use the property for espionage. Still, talk about the ultimate nosy neighbor.
