HARRISON'S FINISHED WITH FLICKS!
SAY it isn’t so, but Indiana Jones is ready to hang up his whip and leather jacket. Indeed, the most shocking revelation at an Apple TV press event Feb. 3 came as 83-year-old superstar HARRISON FORD - who’s played iconic heroes like Jones, Star Wars’ hunky Han Solo and even a U.S. president in hit flicks over decades - hinted he was ready to call it quits.
The aged thespian declared that it would be OK if his role in the TV comedy series Shrinking, where he plays a therapist with Parkinson’s disease, was his final gig “Where do you go from here? The kind of work that [we’ve been] able to do is remarkable given the tools we have to work with, and the notion that lies behind this series,” noted Ford. “And if it was all over here, that would be sufficient.”
The big-screen hero also noted that the series has given him a deep satisfaction. “This is very special and it really nurtures me and makes me feel like what we’re doing has value and importance. I look for that in my life and I’m happy to have found it here.”
ANYA'S HUBBY PLAYS HERO
London lawmen believe Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga star ANYA TAYLOR-JOY may have been the target when robbers broke into the apartment where she was staying with rocker-hubby MALCOLM McRAE.
The horrifying Feb. 12, 2023, nightmare began as the couple heard glass breaking from their bedroom. When the 31-year-old singer-guitarist went to investigate, he found two masked men busting inside. Malcolm raced back to the bedroom, where he barricaded himself and the 29-year-old actress inside.
But instead of going about stealing items, the thugs, armed with a crowbar, tried to break into the bedroom as Anya cowered in terror. Luckily, her brave, quick-thinking hubby yelled: “I have a gun,” causing the crooks to pause, and then flee. British cops later nabbed 43-year-old career criminal KIRK HOLDRICK, charging he was one of the intruders. Whew!
CALL TO SEIZE BILLIE'S NATIVE LAND
BILLIE EILISH nabbed a Song of the Year Grammy for her tune Wildflower, but she might be looking for a new place to live if an Australian influencer has his way. After Billie, 24, slammed ICE tactics and also noted that “no one is illegal on stolen land” in her acceptance speech, political activist DREW PAVLOU threatened to fly to L.A. and “attempt to move into” Billie’s $6 million Malibu mansion.
Stressing the singer’s comment - “no one is illegal on stolen land” - Pavlou spouts: “This is an extremely radical viewpoint. She’s essentially arguing that the United States of America should be abolished - that it is an illegitimate nation due to the sins of colonization.”
Sources note that Billie’s mansion sits on land once inhabited by the Tongva tribe of Native Americans.
FULL HOUSE STAR EVICTS CANCER
Great news: Full House star DAVE COULIER has given cancer the boot! The gutsy 66-year-old declared he’s in remission after back-to-back battles with stage 3 Hodgkin lymphoma and tongue cancer in just two years. Calling his fight a “roller coaster ride,” he says he was able to keep the disease from beating him down “psychologically and emotionally” by “keep[ing] the people that [he] loves close.”
He especially singled out his wife since 2014, MELISSA BRING, 42, and his old Full House costar and bud JOHN STAMOS for boosting him during his fight. Melissa noted: “He has had a lot of loss in his life when it comes to ... cancer. He lost his mother, his sister, his niece. His other sister had it.”
FEUDS, DEATHS... AND MORE!
America’s Next Top Model creator and host TYRA BANKS is getting slammed as a “slimy little snake” by former contestant LISA D’AMATO for whitewashing the bad stuff about her alleged reign of terror in a new Netflix doc about the series. Lisa, who appeared on season 5 of ANT and later won the season 17 All-Stars edition, is airing her own exposé on E! in March revealing all the warts she claims Tyra wants to hide.
Three Dog Night band founding member CHUCK NEGRON passed away at age 83 of complications from heart failure at his home in Los Angeles. Negron sang the lead vocals on hits including Joy to the World, One, and Easy to Be Hard.
Former Super Bowl-winning quarterback PATRICK MAHOMES has a lot more to fret about than his recent knee injury. His 55-year-old dad, PAT MAHOMES SR., has been busted again for boozing while on probation for a previous DWI. A former MLB pitcher, the elder Mahomes was reported to cops for drinking, a violation of his five-year probation for a third DWI bust. He was also arrested for DWIs in 2008 and 2019 and banned from driving in 2024 after being caught without a license, say sources.
The View’s JOY BEHAR confesses that Joy ain’t her real moniker. “My real name is Josephine Victoria, but my grandfather called me Joy, my Italian grandfather,” the 83-year-old cohost says.
