The grand plans of Saturday Night Live funnymen PETE DAVIDSON and COLIN JOST to make big bucks by turning an old Staten Island Ferry boat into an entertainment extravaganza have seemingly sunk - along with their friendship. The comics reportedly slammed down $280Gs for the 300-foot, 65,000-square-foot ship with plans “to have a lot of things,” says an insider. “I think right now, we have six bars and two venues operated separately or combined. We have outdoor event space, we have ... two restaurants.”
But as of now, the ferry sits rusting in its New York City harbor slip, its bright orange paint faded to pink. The last time it was used was last year when fashion bigwig TOMMY HILFIGER reportedly rented it for an event. Meanwhile, Pete and Colin have been socked with a lawsuit by their legal eagles demanding $13,500 in unpaid fees while chalking up massive docking fees.
Now, sources blab the pair’s once-close friendship has hit the rocks and sunk.
“Something big happened and Colin is now refusing to be in the same building, let alone the same room as Pete… Colin doesn’t want to be associated with Pete.”
JUDGE LETS DUI DENNIS WALK
Booze-challenged Southern Charm beauty KATHRYN DENNIS has apparently charmed her way out of the slammer. The troubled 34-year-old redhead, who lost custody of her two kids to ex-lover THOMAS RAVENEL, 63, for substance abuse issues, was sentenced to a South Carolina slammer for 30 days over a three-car-collision DUI.
But the blue-eyed babe was set free after serving just 11 days! Seems her lawyer convinced the judge that Kathryn was treated unfairly, arguing “the vast majority of [DUI]/open container cases are sentenced to pay a fine or minimal jail time” – but she was smacked with “the maximum.” Meanwhile, Kathryn, who was booted from Southern Charm in 2023, is still being sued by one of the drivers in the crash.
Hopefully, she ll be calling Uber in the future.
CHRISTIANE’S SCARY CANCER NIGHTMARE
Super-journalist CHRISTIANE AMANPOUR has revealed devastating personal news – the 67-year-old CNN star is battling deadly ovarian cancer for the THIRD time! “I obviously had all of the relevant organs removed, but it came back a couple times in a lymph node,” reveals the journalistic giant, adding she feels fortunate because ovarian cancers are silent assassins and don’t usually have warning signs.
“I was potentially lucky because there were actually pain symptoms,” she notes. “There’s often no symptoms, so many women don’t know, so I feel that I was lucky.” The news broadcasting behemoth undergoes checkups every three months so the killer can be detected, and is currently undergoing immunotherapy so she doesn’t have to suffer “grueling” side effects of chemo.
