THE grisly murder of ROB REINER and his wife, MICHELE, allegedly committed by their son NICK, has sparked tragic memories of comic KATHY GRIFFIN’s own family horror - she claims her late older brother KENNETH was a drug addict and pedophile.
The 65-year-old funnygal, who was the youngest of five, says her brother “lived on the streets, was extremely violent, so probably had an undiagnosed mental illness that obviously did not go well with crack cocaine.” She claims when she was 10, his first wife told her he “beat her so badly.” Griffin also claims one of his galpals told her he “was molesting one boy and one girl that she knew of,” adding that she “repeatedly” called police to report her brother for allegedly molesting two children.
She notes that like the Reiners with Nick, her parents also tried to help Kenneth with his addiction issues, saying: “I can just tell you it was heartbreaking watching my parents try to save him.” And she’s still haunted by it.
“Having your oldest brother be a pedophile is something that you don’t ... get over... I wanted to kill him because all I could think about were a those children.”
IAN HIT WITH BEATDOWN SUIT
Former Beverly Hills, 90210 star IAN ZIERING, 61, has been clobbered with a civil lawsuit over a biker brawl two years ago. JACOB HERNANDEZ claims the actor “verbally and physically” assaulted him in an unprovoked, road-rage attack causing emotional distress and malicious prosecution.
According to a 2023 police report, Ziering had gotten out of his Mercedes thinking a biker had damaged it. The Sharknado star began arguing with one biker and “three to four additional minibike riders jumped in and assaulted” the actor.
Hernandez was arrested, held on $50,000 bond and charges were later dropped. But he says the arrest and negative publicity due to Ziering’s false claims left him with “significant mental health issues” of extreme anxiety, panic attacks and paranoia. He’s asking for compensatory and punitive damages.
DAUGHTER SAYS KELSEY WANTED NAME BACK
Frasier star KELSEY GRAMMER crushed his 16-year-old estranged daughter GREER when he told her he didn’t want her using his last name when she was growing up. “I started sobbing,” says Greer, now 33. “Because to me, that was like the meanest thing you could ever say to somebody, like, ‘I knew I wasn’t going to be in your life, so I told your mom it would probably be easier for you not to have my last name.’”
Kelsey, 70, split with her mom, BARRIE BUCKNER, when Greer was just 4 years old. They reconnected when she was 16 and Miss Teen Malibu. He later explained why he didn’t want her using his name: “It would be easier for you growing up.” Now, she says she believes he was “not wrong.”
BRAVEHEART AND BABY MAMA SPLIT
Braveheart star MEL GIBSON, 70, and his granddaughter-aged baby mama ROSALIND ROSS, 35, have split after nine years together. The pair, who share 8-year-old son LARS and actually separated a year ago, said in a joint statement:
“Although it’s sad to end this chapter in our lives, we are blessed with a beautiful son and will continue to be the best parents possible.”
