Disgraced Joseph Duggar has been released from police custody after a judge set his bond at $600,000 during his first court appearance on child molestation charges – as his jailhouse calls are now coming to light, revealing what life behind bars really looks like.

The former 19 Kids and Counting star, 31, has been locked up in an Arkansas jail since his March 18 arrest, with KEEPING TABS obtaining the full recordings of his phone calls.

According to call logs, Duggar had been repeatedly dialing wife Kendra Duggar while being held in near-total isolation. In one call, he reveals he’s in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day, telling her he’s been reading the Bible and struggling to sleep in the small cell.

In another emotional exchange, Kendra – who at one point says, “I haven’t died yet” – describes her lonely reality, saying she can’t read or think and has been taking IVs for nutrition because she isn’t eating. The call captures her prioritizing their children before ultimately breaking down in tears, revealing just how overwhelmed she is by the situation.
