READ IN FULL: Former FBI Director James Comey's Bombshell Court Filing Reveals Aggressive Bid to Blow Up Indictment Before Trial
Prosecutors are still turning over evidence as Comey’s team prepares multiple motions to dismiss the case.
Former FBI Director James Comey’s criminal case just took a dramatic turn after a federal judge delayed his trial for more than three months amid signs his legal team is preparing an aggressive attempt to blow up the indictment entirely.
According to a newly filed federal scheduling order obtained by THE VAULT, Comey’s defense revealed plans to file “multiple motions” seeking dismissal of the indictment before the case ever reaches trial.
The bombshell filing pushed Comey’s trial date from July 15 to October 21, while his arraignment was also delayed until September 30.
But buried inside the court order are signs Comey’s team is preparing an aggressive legal assault on the prosecution before a jury is ever seated – including discovery fights, suppression requests, and possible constitutional challenges.
