Hi Radar Substackers,

Ilhan Omar just got an October surprise… and it came knocking at 6 a.m.

Federal agents showed up at the Democratic congresswoman’s Washington, D.C., home on October 12 with a search warrant, setting off a political firestorm just weeks before the midterm elections.

Omar says she’s being targeted for standing up to Donald Trump. The Justice Department insists it’s conducting a legitimate criminal investigation. And the public? Well, it’s still waiting for the receipts.

The investigation reportedly involves possible immigration-related offenses, with questions swirling around Omar’s identity and citizenship history. But here’s the catch: Prosecutors haven’t publicly presented evidence proving any wrongdoing, and Omar hasn’t been charged.

Now the DOJ is fighting to keep the details under wraps.

In a heavily redacted 47-page court filing dated October 27, prosecutors argued that releasing the search warrant and supporting evidence could expose witnesses and jeopardize the investigation.

Translation? Lots of black bars. Very few answers.
