READ IN FULL: Kenan Thompson's Company Thrust Into Explosive Legal Battle Over Alleged Broken Investment Deal
The lawsuit seeks damages, accounting records and other relief.
Kenan Thompson’s production company is facing a courtroom showdown after investors claimed they poured more than $583,000 into the business – only to be shut out of financial records, denied revenue they say they’re owed and caught in an ugly dispute that ended in a lawsuit.
Although the Saturday Night Live star is not named as a defendant, the newly filed complaint repeatedly identifies him as a co-founder and co-manager of Artists for Artists (AFA), the company at the center of the legal battle.
According to the complaint, plaintiffs Artists for Artists DE LLC and Boris Shvarts allege they entered into a binding term sheet with AFA in August 2025 that contemplated a $1.5 million investment over three years, ultimately investing more than $583,333 before the relationship allegedly unraveled.
