READ THE DOCUMENT: Judge Dismisses Most of Blake Lively’s Sexual Harassment Claims Against Justin Baldoni
As the explosive ruling strips out key allegations but keeps the high-stakes fight headed to trial.
Blake Lively’s bitter legal battle with Justin Baldoni has been dramatically reshaped – with a federal judge throwing out the most serious allegations at the heart of the case.
In a sweeping 152-page ruling issued in the Southern District of New York, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed 10 of the 13 claims brought by the 38-year-old actress against her co-star and director of It Ends With Us.
Among those dismissed were the central accusations of sexual harassment and a hostile work environment – claims that had defined the public narrative around the dispute for months.
The decision marks a major legal victory for Baldoni, 42, on the most damaging elements of the case.
But it does not end the fight.
Three claims – centered on retaliation, breach of contract, and aiding and abetting retaliation – remain intact and are now set to proceed to trial, currently scheduled for May 18, 2026.
And crucially, evidence tied to the alleged conduct on set and the fallout that followed can still be introduced in court as part of those surviving claims.
In other words, while the legal framing has narrowed, the underlying story is not going away.
