A federal arrest warrant is being sought for Diedrich Holgate after officials say he violated multiple conditions of his supervised release – just weeks after getting out of prison for making threats against U.S. presidents.

Holgate, 47, was sentenced on July 28, 2025, to 18 months behind bars followed by three years of supervised release for interstate communications with a threat to injure.

The case stemmed from threats targeting Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

In one instance, he allegedly told the Secret Service, “The president is going to die,” and claimed he had the right to kill the president, according to prior federal filings.

He was released on January 21, 2026, and ordered into supervised housing under strict conditions.

Holgate allegedly fell out of compliance almost immediately.

According to a March 2026 petition filed in U.S. District Court in Oregon, he failed to report to probation on February 17, was terminated from the Northwest Regional Reentry Center on February 5 for vaping, skipped a required “Men’s Connect Program” at Portland Rescue Mission, and refused clean-and-sober housing arranged and paid for by probation – instead staying in unapproved locations.
