Jermaine Jackson just got hit with a multimillion-dollar legal bombshell – and the details are all laid out in black and white.
The singer and his companies have been ordered to pay more than $6.5 million after failing to respond to a sexual assault lawsuit filed by accuser Rita Butler Barrett.
Barrett alleged the incident dates back to the 1980s, claiming she met Jackson through Motown founder Berry Gordy before he allegedly forced himself on her inside his Los Angeles home. Jackson has denied the allegations, which were never criminally adjudicated.
