Jermaine Jackson is fighting to erase a massive $6.5 million judgment entered against him in a sexual abuse lawsuit, claiming he never even knew the case existed until after the court had already ruled against him.

The singer filed explosive new court papers on June 2 asking a California judge to vacate the default judgment awarded to accuser Rita Butler Barrett on May 14.

Cathy Adams alleged Jackson attacked her during a 1990 tour in Japan, according to a sworn statement.

The Jackson family member insists he was never properly notified about the lawsuit, the damages being sought, the request for default or the multimillion-dollar judgment before it was entered.

The newly filed court documents paint a dramatically different picture of the case.
