SEE THE PHOTOS: FBI Releases Suspect Details & Crime Scene Images in Nancy Guthrie Kidnapping as Search Enters Day 10
The shots provide the first tangible lead in the escalating search.
Masked. Armed. And now, a massive crime-scene sweep.
Newly released FBI images show a masked, glove-wearing suspect – with what appears to be a gun holstered at his waist – allegedly tampering with the front-door camera at the home of missing grandmother Nancy Guthrie.
The images mark the first time a potential suspect has been publicly shown since her February 1 disappearance.
FBI Director Kash Patel revealed the footage was recovered from hidden backend data after recording devices were removed, saying investigators uncovered “previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera.”
Savannah Guthrie shared the images herself, pleading, “We believe she is still alive. Bring her home.”
As the search intensifies, disturbing new crime-scene photos show investigators scouring Nancy’s backyard septic tank, searching for evidence that may have been flushed or hidden. Former SWAT captain Josh Schirard explained, “Somebody may have flushed something thinking that would get rid of it, but instead it would actually just be deposited in the septic tank.”
Cops have also searched the home of Savannah’s sister Annie – emerging with blue gloves, flashes going off inside the garage, and a mysterious silver suitcase in hand.
Nancy, 84, vanished after returning home January 31, leaving behind her phone, wallet, and keys. At least two ransom notes followed — one fake, one demanding $6 million in Bitcoin – but a second payment deadline has now passed with no transfer.
And as crime-scene photos multiply and suspect images finally surface, investigators – and the family – are racing against time.
