Jennifer Pollack Percival has pleaded guilty to wire fraud after admitting she doctored a letter from the Jeffrey Epstein Victims’ Compensation Program to falsely make it appear she had been approved for compensation.
Percival told a Manhattan federal court the Epstein program had actually rejected her claim in 2021. But when she later applied to a separate victims’ fund connected to the JPMorgan Epstein litigation, she submitted an altered letter and falsely claimed she had already received approximately $500,000.
The second fund ultimately wired her roughly $750,000. When FBI agents later confronted her with the genuine rejection letter, Percival admitted she lied again by claiming she had successfully appealed and later caused fabricated emails to be submitted while attempting to avoid prosecution.
Lindsay Clancy Hires Karen Read Lawyer in Bid to Kill Murder Case
Lindsay Clancy’s defense just added an attorney who knows exactly what a Massachusetts mistrial fight looks like.
Martin Weinberg, who worked on Karen Read’s defense, has temporarily joined forces with Kevin Reddington as Clancy seeks to prevent prosecutors from putting her on trial again following an 11–1 deadlock.
Eleven jurors favored finding Clancy not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility, while one voted guilty. Reddington has refiled a Rule 25 motion arguing no rational jury could find beyond a reasonable doubt that Clancy lacked a qualifying mental disease or defect and Weinberg is joining the separate double-jeopardy push.
There’s one major complication in that Weinberg made a similar argument after Read’s first mistrial, citing jurors who later said they had agreed to acquit her of second-degree murder. Massachusetts’ highest court nevertheless allowed Read to be retried because no unanimous verdict had been returned in open court.

The Trump administration maintains the agreement contains the nonproliferation provisions legally required under U.S. law.
Meanwhile, lawmakers from both parties are pressing the administration over two classified side letters connected to the deal, arguing their contents could affect how the agreement operates. The proposed pact was formally submitted to Congress in August and is undergoing the required review period.
